Books are the symbol of an educated and civilised society. Book fairs are organised all over the world to expose people to various new and important books dealing with different subjects. I visited one such essay on book fair fair which was organized in my town on 23 rd April which is the World Book Day.
It was held at our city auditorium and was a three-day event. I went to the book fair along with my elder brother as we both like to read a lot. As we reached the venue, essay on book fair, I realized that this exhibit was of a much larger proportion than I had expected and thousands of people had come to attend the event.
Inside the auditorium, books were displayed in various sections based on the publishing house and subjects that they were based upon like Social-welfare, Literature, Politics, and Poems etc. The authors of some of the books were also present, interacting with the avid readers, personally signing the books and discussing its content.
I was especially interested in visiting the sports section. In this section, essay on book fair, books on various sports were displayed along with the autobiographies of accomplished sports personalities. I quickly purchased the book and stood in the queue to get my copy of the book personally signed by him.
My happiness had no bounds when I was standing in front of Mr. He asked me my name and pat on my shoulder as he signed my book. Special concessions were given to Students and libraries on the purchase of displayed books.
Apart from this, there were lectures organised to provide writing and publishing tips to new writers as well as enlighten young students about the importance of books. Book fairs help in creating a reading habit in young students who are essay on book fair only reading their course books.
